Since 2017, Almond Land EOOD has managed to develop the activity of growing shell perennials, and currently we are proud of a farm covering over 1500 decares of arable land in the village of Momkovo, Svilengrad municipality. The orchards are located on the fertile hills of Sakar Mountain, near the banks of the Maritsa River, with southern exposure, which makes them extremely suitable for growing nuts. Through innovative solutions, agricultural machinery for modern agriculture and a specialized drip irrigation system, we grow our modern varieties of almonds – Vairo, Makako, Marinada and Feranes.<\/p>\n

The propagating material originates from Catalonia, supplied by a certified nursery, the quality of which is guaranteed by IRTA – (Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology) – an institute of the Government of Catalonia, Spain.<\/p>\n

The planting of the gardens was organized in stages, and so far three campaigns have been implemented – the first orchards with almonds were planted in the spring 2018 – 2019 season, and with the campaigns in the spring seasons 2019 – 2020 and 2020 – 2021 we reached over 1000 decares of almond orchards. gardens. Planting is also planned for the spring season 2021-2022.<\/p>\n
